Road maintenance works in Sai Kung are causing problems for motorists. They may have contributed to the accident we reported yesterday, when all vehicles on Fuk Man Road northbound were prohibited from making left-turn onto Chan Man Street. The affected vehicles were diverted via Fuk Man Road northbound, roundabout, Fuk Man Road southbound and Chan Man Street.
And today, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, all vehicles on Chan Man Street will be prohibited from making left-turn onto Fuk Man Road northbound. Affected vehicles will be diverted via Fuk Man Road southbound, the cul-de-sac near Sai Kung Public Pier and Fuk Man Road northbound.
The Transport Department is advising motorists to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
