The third Hong Kong Buzz Concert for the Animals hosted by Tikitiki Bowling Bar will be held on Friday, 8 October. It is a fund-raising event benefiting Catherine’s Puppies, Hong Kong Cats and Sai Kung Lost Injured Animals. A marvellous array of entertainment has been lined up* promising a rollicking evening for everyone who comes to support the cats and dogs: Franky Holliwood & the Tiki Birds, other TBB musicians Moonshot and Wow Cows plus three Sai Kung bands, who can’t be named until some technicalities are sorted. More later.
A good time was had by all at the Second Buzz Concert in 2019
Tickets can be pre-ordered and paid through reservations@urban-ent.com or you can buy your tickets on the door on the night. They will cost $250 for an adult and $150 for a child. For transparency, because we are raising money for the
animals from the public, the ticket money will be split 60 : 40 between the dog and cat charities and Tikitiki Bowling Bar for its costs.
Tickets will entitle every person (adults and kids) to two free drinks, food from the vegetarian buffet** (from 7:00 to 9:00 pm) and a free bowling game (subject to availability). It is highly recommended to make a reservation and email reservations@urban-ent.com The kids’ party is from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and the adults’ from 7:00 pm until late.
Film of cats and dogs waiting for homes at Catherine’s Puppies and HK Cats will be screened on the Tikitiki’s vast video walls.
The last Concert for the Animals in 2019 attracted more than 400 people who had a great night out — they were dancing in the aisles — while benefiting the cats and dogs and approximately $50,000 was paid out equally to the charities.
Under government Covid-19 rules, two thirds of people on the premises need to be vaccinated, so please bring your proof of jab for scanning at the door.
Free bowling available to all attendees
This event was created by Hong Kong Buzz news magazine four years ago. Tikitiki, whose leaders are animal lovers, puts a big effort at considerable cost behind this Concert, also dubbed “The Pound Party”. The second biggest sponsor is Pets Central, which has a chain of veterinary clinics and hospitals. PC is donating $10,000 worth of vet care. Homevet, the vet who comes to you, is the next sponsor with $5000 cash.
We’ve got pledges of $15,000 already with a month to go, so we should be able to raise considerably more for the charities this year. If you’d like to donate money for the dogs and cats, tell Tikitiki at reservations@urban-ent.com There will be a luck draw organised by Catherine of the Puppies. If you wish to offer prizes, please WhatsApp her at 6799 7530.
