Bobby was the ultimate rags to riches rescue story. He was run over by a car in front of a local bar in Sai Kung and as awful as that was – it was the beginning of a wonderful life for a wonderful dog. Bobby had a broken leg and was rushed to hospital, the couple that took him, well they fell in love immediately and ended up keeping him.
Sadly, Bobby passed away fourteen months ago after a battle with cancer and health issues he couldn’t beat. His passing not only shattered the hearts of his people, Ben and Lyndsey – but also had much of the community in Sai Kung grieving, he was so very loved by all. For me, Bobby’s adoption and the life he had set a bench mark for the home and love I dream of for every dog we have.
In memory of Bobby, his mum Lyndsey has set up a small business, Bobby’s Delights, making and selling the treats he loved and in honour of Bobby she is donating 10% of sales to Catherine’s Puppies.
Lyndsey will be at Momentai Market in Sai Kung this Sunday 7 April selling her healthy (no crap) treats and also some bits and bobs (t-shirts, toys and Easter cards) to help us with our shelter bills. If the weather is kind, no rain, a few of our junior pups in need of a home will also be passing by with me at about 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Customers at the market also get a free glass of Prosecco kindly donated by the market organisers and vendors. Hope to see you there!
