Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation (SKSFF) was featured in the RTHK programme “The Dog Show”, which went on to win the Award of Recognition at a film competition in USA. SKSFF featured in episode 3. The series was made by Kate Hawkins for RTHK and the SKSFF section focused on their educational “Hands On” programme and the participating visiting school students at the Dog Shelter in Sai Kung.

SKSFF are also planing a big event on The Peak for 1 June. Called the “Paws Party on the Peak” the event promises that attendees can “Party like a Millionaire” at one of Hong Kong’s most exclusive private residences – 7,300 sq. ft. of open party space providing the most spectacular views of Hong Kong’s skyline.
The event will take place at No. 12B Bowen Road, The Peak (Lower) from 6:30 – 11:00 pm. Entry tickets are $888 per person which includes the draw to win two British Airways World Traveller Economy return tickets from Hong Kong to London.
There will be an all inclusive poolside buffet, free flowing bar, an array of live entertainment including a professional comedy show, fun celebrities walking the red carpet and dancing.
The aim of the party is to raise HK$250,000 to build fencing to the vacant land adjoining the shelter in Tai Lam Wu, Sai Kung, the home to over 110 abandoned and homeless dogs. The fencing will provide a large exercise areas in which the dogs will have freedom to run and play safely.
If you can’t make the party – numbers are limited to 200 persons – you can buy a balloon tag for $500 which will have your name or funny slogan attached at the event, with the tag going in to the BA London tickets draw.
There will also be many other prizes available including 5 nights and 3 days complimentary scuba diving at The Garden Resort Fiji; 2 nights accommodation including daily breakfast and evening cocktails with club access at the Hyatt Regency Shatin; 1 night accommodation including breakfast in a Deluxe Sea View Room at the Kerry Hotel; Marriott Courtyard Hong Kong dining voucher; and many others.
