Update on planned protests – 16 August

Here is this week’s update on planned protests in Hong Kong. Not all of these may take place, but those for the next seven days are fairly certain.

16 August: 8:00 pm. Stand with HK, Power to the People rally: Co-organised by the Hong Kong Higher Institutions International Affairs Delegation. Chater Garden.

17 August: 11:00 am. March with the Teachers: Chater Garden to Government House.

17 August: 3:30 pm. Reclaim our soul, restore our peace. Hung Hom Harbour to Tai Wan Shan Park, Whampoa. (Not approved).

17 August: 6:30 pm. Walking with the Gods, chanting together: Chater Garden to Government House.

17 August: 7:30 pm. For animals’ sake, say no to tear gas: Central, Edinburgh Square. bring pets.

18 August: 3:00 pm. Peaceful, rational, non-violent. Victoria Park to Chater Road (Only rally in Victoria Park approved).

19 August: TBC. MTR Carriage Cleaning Operation. (Details TBC).

24 August: 1:00 pm. Kwun Tong Demonstration. Jun Yi Street Park Playground to Kwun Tong Swimming Pool.

25 August: TBC. Tsuen Wan District and Kwai Chung District Demonstration. (Details TBC).
