Two women died in, as yet, unexplained circumstances in unrelated events over the past couple of days.
Yesterday (1 September) a 70-year-old woman fell into a coma whilst swimming at Clear Water Bay Second Beach around 9:00 am. The body of the victim was found and rescued by other swimmers. She was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by an ambulance. After preliminary investigations, the police believed that the incident was not suspicious and that she had died of natural causes, to be determined by autopsy.
Early this morning (2 September) a 20-year-old woman was found in a coma in a house in Lung Mei Village, Sai Kung. Ambulanceman received a report around 7:00 am and later confirmed that a woman had died. The police sealed off the area and are investigating the cause of death.
