Police still searching for local Sai Kung fisherman missing since Sunday

sai kung lost manMarine Police are continuing the search for a missing fisherman who went missing Sunday (19/1) afternoon.

The 64-year-old man left home at 3:00 pm yesterday to go fishing alone, but no-one has seen him since. His 59-year-old wife call the police for help at around 1:00 am this morning when he did not return home.  Police searched around Nai Chung pier, his last known whereabouts.

Marine Police, Fire Services and Government Flying Services teams also joined in assisting search and rescue efforts. No information has been forthcoming and the search and rescue operation is still ongoing.

The missing man is about 1.75 metres tall, of fat build and bald. He made his last appearance wearing a grey coat and carrying a black rucksack. Anyone who has seen or heard of the missing man should contact investigators or any police station on 3661 2663 or 9160 0972.
