UPDATE: Police found a body at the foot of the cliff where the belongings were found at around 8:30 pm last night (27/11). It is believed to be the missing hiker. His family have been informed.
A 29-year-old man, surnamed Ng (伍鏡元), left his home at Kingswood Villas, Tin Shui Wai, to hike in Sai Kung yesterday (26/11) afternoon. However, contact was lost with his family and they asked the police for help. Police and firefighters searched the vicinity of Pak Lap Wan in Sai Kung, and the Government Flying Service also sent helicopters to aid the mission.
Search personnel have not yet found any trace of the missing man. According to on-site information, a hiker found a group of personal belongings, such as mobile phones by a cliff in Pak Lap Wan at 9:00 am (27/11) this morning. They are confirming whether they belong to Ng. The belongings were searched on the spot by the search and rescue team in the afternoon.

Ng is about 1.8 metres tall, weighs about 75 kg, is of medium build, with a pointed face and short black hair. Ng was wearing a green jacket, black trousers and white sneakers when last seen. Anyone who has seen or has news about the victim can call 3661 1607 or contact any police station.
When interviewed, the victim’s father said that his son is studying architecture and design and other disciplines at university, and he is currently doing related work. Moreover, the victim has been living with his family and has no emotional problems at all.
