A motorcycling accident occurred on Tai Au Mun Road in Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung last night. The driver was thrown to the ground, injured and sent to hospital.
The accident occurred at 10:00 pm yesterday (3/6). The male driver of a Yamaha R6 high-powered motorcycle was driving along Tai Au Mun Road in Clear Water Bay towards Po Toi O. When he got near the car park at Clear Water Bay Second Beach he lost control, the bike falling over on top of him. He suffered multiple injuries to the body. Other drivers saw the accident and quickly reported it to the emergency services for assistance.
An ambulance rushed the driver to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for emergency treatment. The police are investigating the cause of the accident, thought to be caused in trying to avoid a dog or other animal on the road. The driver passed a breathalyser test.
