Police have been in touch with local residents concerning the alleged attacks on women in the O Tau area.
Ada Sum Pok-yu, Divisional Commander, Sai Kung Division writes “We have contacted the Victim of the second case but she has refused to come forward to assist in the investigation.
“Some basic information that we got from her – when she, a Filipino female, was walking past the parking area at O Tau Village at about 9:00 pm on a Sunday, a suspicious male (about 175 cm in height, thin built, short hair, wearing a hoodie) suddenly appeared and approached her from behind. The Victim pushed him away, then the male fled towards Sai Sha Road. We are not able to confirm if the male had used any weapon/taser as reported in HK Buzz, but in any case we have enhanced our patrol in the area, in particular during hours of darkness”.
