Raw sewage flows along Sai Kung street soaking vegetables

This morning BUZZ received a message from local Sai Kung environmental activist Carol Biddell. We think it’s important for residents to be aware of this potential health hazard.

This morning I was walking through Sai Kung & saw Raw Sewage running onto the street. People were walking into it before they realised what it was. The vegetable store next to this location was carrying on business as usual.

I called 999 to request urgent help to stop the people walking through it – I was refused help even though I explained that the sewage may contain COvid.

I was told to call 1823.  -I tried but could not get through.  40 mins later I finally got through to someone at FEHD who then told me it was a Drainage Works problem.

Meanwhile the sewage still runs across the street, people walk through it & the vegetables are still being sold.

I am seriously concerned that the police refused to assist my request for  stopping people from walking through Raw Sewage.
