Yesterday (22/7) the driver of a motorcycle lost control on Pik Sha Road, Sai Kung, near the renovation works close to Palisades around 9:20 am. The road was covered with fallen fruit from overhanging trees at the time, and police suspect that this was the reason for the accident.
The motorcyclist, a decorator employed on the renovation work, was injured and in a coma when the police and ambulance arrived. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he regained consciousness.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
