All you need to test yourself for corona virus is a short glass and a large bottle of whisky, our Science Editor writes from his idyll on a Philippine beach.
Pour a slug of whisky into the glass and sniff it, he says. If you can smell it, so far so good.
Then taste it. If you find you can both smell it and taste it you probably do not have the corona virus.
Our Science Editor says he tested himself seven times last night. This morning he has got a headache — a sign that he may have the corona virus.
He figures he will have to do a similar round of virus testing today, then take the beach-buddy girlfriend, who regards her bikini as optional, for a swim to the nearest island.
