$100,000+ property stolen in Long Mei Village

A village house in Long Mei Village, Sai Kung, was broken into and burgled last night (22/10) and cash, watches and jewellery, worth about $116,000 stolen.

Police received a report from a female resident at 11:43 pm stating that the windows and a closet had been pried open and she suspected that she had been subject to a burglary. Police officers arrived at the scene and after preliminary calculations, about HK$48,000 in cash, two watches worth about $21,000 in total, and 3 pieces of jewellery worth about $47,000 in total had been stolen.

After preliminary investigation, the case was classified as a burglary and was handed over to the Wong Tai Sin Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No one has been arrested yet.
