The remaining three injured, including the BMW driver’s wife, a 74-year-old passenger in the front seat, were sent to the hospital for treatment.

Among the injured were a 62-year-old female passenger of the van 62, and the 51-year-old female driver of a Mini Cooper, who both sustained injuries to their limbs.

Police are investigating if the BMW i3 driver’s health condition was a factor in the accident; he is said to have suffered from a heart condition. Police are investigating the incident. Parts of Clear Water Bay Road and Ying Yip Road were closed for a couple of hours, causing traffic congestion in Tseung Kwan O and along Clear Water Bay Road.
