New private hospital next to University station offers health checks for women and men from $1950

The new private hospital near University station in the New Territories is offering health checks for women and men at affordable rates. The CUHK Medical Centre at Ma Liu Shui is a non-profit teaching hospital attached to the Chinese University. It has only recently opened. Health checks cost from $1950 to $7020 for women and $1950 to $5310 for men.

On its website the Medical Centre says people who book for the check-ups will have their physical condition, family medical history and health risks assessed by doctors and nurses. Then a personalised plan will be prepared, the patient will be debriefed and follow-up action outlined.

For women here are the medical matters covered (men get similar checks with obvious differences): Physical exam, blood analysis, coronary artery disease risk, diabetes assessment, bone and liver function test, renal function test, gout screening, thyroid function, urinanalysis and stool routine, heart and lungs assessment, breasts check, abdomen unltrasound and colorrectal risk.

Cost varies according to the patient’s choice of plan, Basic, Advanced or Premium.
