Police arrest driver on Hiram’s Highway for driving under the influence of drugs

Early this morning (24/7) police set up roadblocks to intercept suspicious vehicles on the Hiram’s Highway towards Sai Kung city centre near The Giverny. They intercepted a blue Honda private car and found five marijuana cigarettes in the car.

The 33-year-old male driver was given a rapid saliva test on the spot and proved positive for the drug. He was arrested for “hiding drugs” and “driving under the influence of drugs”. He is being detained for investigation and has been handed over to the Wong Tai Sin District Police District for criminal investigation.
