Hap Mun Bay Beach, Kiu Tsui Island, Sai Kung
Around 12:15 pm yesterday (11/7), a 66-year-old male swimmer was involved in a drowning incident while swimming at Hap Mun Bay Beach, on Kiu Tsui Island, Sai Kung. Lifeguards immediately rescued him and performed CPR, and called the police for help.
Rescuers arrived at the scene and took the unconscious to the close-by Marine Police base in Sai Kung. He was then transferred by ambulance to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for emergency treatment, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the cause of his drowning and will arrange an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
