Commissioning of new parking meters in Sai Kung

Motorists are advised that, with effect from 19 October 2021 (the actual commission date and time may be slightly adjusted to cope with the progress of the installation works) new parking meters will become operational in the following locations in Sai Kung:

Tai Chung Hau Road, Sai Kung

Five new parking meters covering nine existing metered parking spaces will be put into operation at Tai Chung Hau Road Car Park (Open).

Tai Mong Tsai Car Park, Sai Kung

Eight new parking meters covering 16 newly designated metered parking spaces will be put into operation at Tai Mong Tsai Car Park near Tai Mong Tsai Barbecue Area Site 11.

Tan Shan Road, Sai Kung

11 new parking meters covering 19 existing metered parking spaces will be put into operation at Tan Shan Road.

The details of these metered parking spaces are as follows:

Operating period: 08.00 am – 08.00 pm on Mondays to Sundays and public holidaysLongest parking period for each transaction: 2 hoursParking fee: $2.00 for every 15 minutes

The Transport Department has set up a dedicated webpage for new parking meters https://www.td.gov.hk/en/transport_in_hong_kong/parking/parking_meters/npm/index.html and uploaded videos to introduce how to use the new parking meters, settle parking fees through various payment means and make remote payment through mobile application “HKeMeter”.
