Woman’s body found on Sai Kung beach

A woman’s body was found on a rocky beach near Kim Chu Wan by a passing hiker yesterday afternoon (7/4). She is assumed to have fallen off a nearby cliff.

Yesterday afternoon a hiker reported to the police that he had seen a black object that looked like a human on the rocky beach of Kim Chu Wan near Po Pin Chau, Sai Kung. Police and fire services arrived at the scene, and, after a search, they found a woman lying down on a rocky beach 30 metres from the shoreline. Unfortunately, it was confirmed that the woman was dead, and the officers covered her body with black plastic.

According to reports, the deceased was 34 years old. Her personal belongings, including a rucksack, camera, water bag, etc., were found beside her, and there was no obvious property loss. It is reported that the police contacted her son later, and reporters were told that she loved hiking and was on vacation today.

It is believed that she had an accident when she went hiking. Preliminary examination at the scene showed that the deceased had injuries to the head, and that her body was located near a cliff full of gravel. Preliminary investigation by the police believed that she stumbled while hiking and accidentally fell to her death. The incident was classified as not suspicious.
