1A minibus hit by Tesla hits bus in front; one injured

Yesterday morning (4/4) an out-of-control Tesla rear-ended a 1A green minibus neat Choi Hung MTR station causing it to hit the bus in front of it. One person was injured.

The incident happened at 7:35 am. Police received a report that a Tesla electric car was driving along Clear Water Bay Road in the direction of Wong Tai Sin. When it was approaching Ping Shek Village, it went out of control and collided with the minibus in front. According to pictures on the Internet, the left front of the Tesla involved collided with the rear of the minibus in front, and the minibus was pushed forward, hitting the bus in front of it. The driver of the minibus was injured and sent to hospital, and a male passenger on the minibus sprained his neck in the accident. As for the Tesla, the front was damaged and was towed away for inspection.

The Transport Department issued a traffic alert at 7:45 a.m., stating that due to the accident, some lanes at the scene were closed, and motorists could only use the remaining lanes. The traffic on the site was heavy, and traffic backed up to Lung Mei and the Shun Lee Disciplined Services Quarters.
