The WWF Marine Life Centre at Hoi Ha Wan
The number of drowning accidents in Sai Kung continues to rise with another fatality occurring in Hoi Ha Wan yesterday afternoon (29/9).
Around 1:00 pm, police received multiple reports saying that a man in his 40s had fainted while swimming at the Ha Wan Marine Life Centre off the coast of Hoi Ha Wan, Sai Kung and was unconscious when rescued. Ambulancemen used an automatic extracardiac compression machine to give first aid to the victim and was sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital, but unfortunately was confirmed dead on arrival. The police are investigating the incident.
