Free travel on KMB’s new solar powered 96R bus on 26 March

In recent years KMB Motorbus Company has independently developed and installed solar energy devices on the bus roofs to effectively reduce fuel consumption. KMB has set a goal to increase the number of buses to 2,000 within this year, that is, half of the fleet will be equipped with solar devices. In order to promote the achievements of “solar bus” in carbon reduction and energy saving, KMB has specially designed themed buses and will hold a free ride day on 26 March, allowing passengers to experience the green nature in the countryside.

Hong Kong citizens can take unlimited free rides on the solar-powered bus (license plate number: VG6020) on route 96R [Diamond Hill Station ⇌ Wong Shek Pier]. A trips of 96R will be arranged to run by solar-powered buses, allowing passengers to experience green transportation.
