Mona Fong Clinic, Sai Kung
The Department of Health (DH) announced today (1/5) that only general public (GP) sessions will be provided at Sai Kung’s Mona Fong Dental Clinic from tomorrow due to staffing deployment. Other services at the clinic will be suspended until further notice. The DH will inform users with prior appointments of affected services and make separate arrangements for them.
According to the documents of the Legco Finance Committee, the waiting time for many government dental appointment services has been extended due to the shortage of manpower and the new crown pneumonia epidemic, including regular dental check-ups, dental follow-up treatment and non-emergency dental specialist services. The Department of Health admitted in a document to the Finance Committee that due to the loss of manpower in the dental profession, some dental operating rooms need to be closed, and dental appointments need to be rescheduled from time to time, so the related waiting time is slightly extended.
