Sai Kung Stray Friends Dog Shelter located at No. 151 Tai Lam Wu, Sai Kung is looking for volunteers. If you can offer any help volunteering time “at your convenience on a roster” for any of the below tasks they would so appreciate you making contact.
Tasks are:
A. 10:00 am onwards: Inside Kennel two blocks – putting towels into washing machine – folding clean laundry – cleaning/hosing kennel rooms – refilling drinking water bowls
B. 9:30 am onwards: New outer Kennel block – cleaning/hosing outside new kennel block – refilling drinking water bowls
C. 10:00 am onwards: Outer Kennel enclosures – cleaning/hosing outside new kennel block -refilling drinking water bowls
D. 2.00 pm onwards: food preparation
E. URGENTLY NEEDED 4:00 -7.30 pm: Hands on help with food distribution to dogs -washing dishes -cleaning pool area and refilling three drinking water tubs – clean drinking water to one courtyard dish. (If anyone could help one or more afternoons it will be wonderful!)
Volunteers can choose the task, day and time.

According to Narelle “With 200 dogs in shelter and feeding “Meals on Wheels” to 20 local SK dogs everyday it’s just overwhelming and exhausting day after day with only one or two people to help”.
