Paragliding accident in Sai Kung hospitalises pilot

A paragliding accident in Sai Kung occurred yesterday (18/10) around 3:00 pm, when three men who were paragliding reportedly encountered strong winds. The conditions caused a forced landing on Tuk Ngu Shan.

During the landing, the 54-year-old victim lost control and hit a boulder, injuring both his legs. When his friends travelling with him discovered the incident, they hurriedly called the police for help. Emergency services were promptly notified, and the Government Flying Service dispatched a helicopter to the scene to assist the rescue operation. The injured man was airlifted and transported to Eastern District Hospital for treatment. The other two individuals involved in the incident reportedly sustained no injuries.

The cause and course of the accident are subject to further investigation
