Windsurfer goes missing in Sai Kung; later found safe

Around 9:30 a.m. today (24/10), a woman reported to the police that her 61-year-old husband had gone windsurfing in Sai Kung at 7:00 am but had not returned and could not be contacted, raising concerns about his safety. Police and firefighters gathered on Tai Mong Tsai Road, near Sha Ha, Sai Kung and went to start search operations.

The eventually found the lost windsurfer at about 11:00 am when he was able to swim to a nearby ship for help. He was uninjured and returned to Sai Kung Pier but refused to be sent to the hospital.
