Drug bust in Sai Kung village

Tseung Kwan O District police launched an anti-drug operation at Heng Mei Deng Village, Mang Kung Uk Road, Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung yesterday evening (18/12) following tips and ongoing investigation. During the operation, the police intercepted a 29-year-old man and found about six grams of suspected cocaine on his body; he was taken to his residence for further investigation.

The police later seized a further small amount of suspected cocaine, two suspected “ice” bottles and 60 electronic cigarette cartridges suspected of containing ketamine (commonly known as “space oil”) from the man’s residence. The total street value of the seized drugs was about HK$10,000.

The man was arrested on suspicion of “possession of drugs”, “possession of tools for the purpose of taking drugs” and “possession of first category poison”. He is currently being detained for investigation.
