Drunk man falls overboard at Kau Sai Wan boat party; drowns and is resuscitated at hospital

A drowning incident occurred in Sai Kung around 3:40 pm yesterday (7/6). police received a report that a person was suspected to have drowned 150 metres off Kau Sai Wan and was unconscious. Emergency services rescued him.

The 32-year-old man was in a coma when rescued and was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for emergency treatment. He needed resuscitation on the way to the hospital and is now in critical condition.

The police investigating the incident report that the victim participated in a “boat party” and had been drinking and fell into the sea from the boat.
