Man drowns at Clearwater Bay Second Beach

An unidentified man between 60 and 70 years old is suspected to have drowned at Clearwater Bay Second Beach around 2:50 pm yesterday afternoon (9/7). Police received a report from beach staff that a lifeguard had rescued an unconscious swimmer.

When the paramedics arrived at the scene, the victim was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for emergency treatment. He was reportedly not breathing or having a pulse when he was sent to the hospital and was later confirmed dead. The police are investigating the identity of the victim and the cause of the incident.
