Body found floating off Long Ke Wan, Sai Kung confirmed dead at the scene

A body was found floating in the sea off Long Ke Wan, Sai Kung around 12:18 pm yesterday (4/1). Police received a report from a boatman that a human-shaped object was floating about 20 metres off Fan Tsang Chau (Conic Island) suggesting someone had fallen into the sea. Firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued a man, who was confirmed dead.

The deceased male was approximately 1.68 metres tall, of medium build, with short hair, and was wearing a light-coloured short-sleeved shirt, a yellow long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers. Police have not yet identified the victim, and no suicide note was found at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted later to determine the cause of death. The case is being treated as a “body found.”
