Car catches fire on Clear Water Bay Road

Around 12:20 pm this afternoon (1/6), a car was travelling along Clear Water Bay Road towards Sai Kung, when the driver noticed smoke coming from the vehicle as it passed near Good Hope School.

He stopped and got out to check, but flames suddenly engulfed the front of the car. The driver immediately called the police for help.

Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. No one was injured. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by overheating of mechanical components.
