Head-on collision between taxi and car on Hiram’s Highway, Sai Kung injuries two

Around 1:20 pm today (25/9), a car and a taxi carrying passengers collided head-on on Hiram’s Highway near Pak Wai while travelling towards Kowloon. It was reported that the taxi driver was initially trapped inside the vehicle and experienced chest pain; he was later taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by paramedics. A passenger in the taxi suffered bleeding from the jaw and received treatment at the scene.

According to reports from the scene, the car driver was suspected of being distracted while driving and accidentally crossed the line, causing the accident.

The Transport Department announced that due to a traffic accident, a single-lane two-way traffic measure has been implemented on Hiram’s Highway near Pak Wai. Traffic is currently heavy at the location.
