A video, about 18 seconds long, circulated on the Facebook group “Car Cam L (Hong Kong Group)” last night (29/9). It can be seen that at around 9:00 pm on Sunday (27/9), a car driver was driving downhill on the right lane of Clear Water Bay Road towards Sai Kung, while another car was driving on the left lane. When the car was passing a right bend opposite Ta Kwu Ling New Village, a white seven-seater car suddenly drove in the opposite lane without any signs of braking. Just as they were about to collide head-on, the car driver immediately turned left and successfully passed between the private car on the left lane and the seven-seater car on the opposite lane. The private car on the left lane, the following motorcycle, and the car driver stopped for a few seconds before continuing to drive normally.
Because the headlights of the seven-seater vehicle were obstructing the view, the car camera was unable to capture the license plate. The camera owner exclaimed in the post, “I almost died on Earth by a second, thankfully I didn’t get into trouble with my neighbour.” He also posted the video and asked, “Did any other drivers capture the white seven-seater vehicle going against traffic or its license plate? I’d like to request the car camera footage.”
