Letter to the Editor: Illegal construction in Sai Kung Country Park

Dear BUZZ,

I’ve filed a report to 1823 but AFCD vans pass this site multiple times each day on their way up to High Island Reservoir so no idea why they don’t put a stop to the current ongoing illegal clearing and construction inside Sai Kung Country Park by Maclehose Stage 1.

AFCD have already been to the site once and put tape across the entrance and put up their wooden signs highlighting offenders will be prosecuted but those responsible continue with the work with complete disregard.

Refer to attached photos and videos from this morning highlighting the ongoing clearing work, illegal storage of construction material and illegal erection of temporary structures (sun shades) on the site.
