The Crazy Cow Cafe will stage its grand opening party at Centro on Saturday, 6 January, Helen Law, sales manager of Urban Entertainment Ltd, said. The four-hour party starts at 2:00 pm on the Centro ground floor, Chui Tong Rd. The stars of the show will be three daft bovines, Frederica, Humphrey and Zsa Zsa, actually permanent staff of the Crazy Cow Cafe in cow costumes dancing around Disneyland-style. The new coffee shop has an in-house bakery staffed by chefs hired from the Mandarin Oriental and the Ritz-Carlton.
“We will offering hotel quality food, but not at hotel prices,” Helen said. At first the cafe’s shops will be preparing sweets such as chocolate bonbons, macaroons and occasion cakes. Savouries will come later.  The Crazy Cow Cafe is liquor-licensed and serves 25 coffee cocktails.

The Saturday afternoon party will be mainly a family affair. You will be able to sample cakes and sweets, while the kids play mini-cow games and make things in the art workshops. Everyone who attends and makes a purchase, big or small, will get discount coupons for future use. Helen expects a good turn-out from the media.
The Crazy Cow Cafe cafe is the fourth F&B outlet run by Urban Entertainment in the Centro building, where the main attraction is the mega-nightclub, Tikitiki Bowling Bar. The other outlets are The Octopus’s Garden Lounge, a live music bar, Sea Dogs and Mermaids Bar, a 74-seat bar with an outside terrace for smokers, and Beach Bums & Cannibals Restaurant, which serves “island fusion” meals prepared by Chef Peter Lim, formerly of the Four Seasons Hotel.

Most of the enormous entertainment centre is taken up by the fourth-floor bowling alley, now called Krakatoa Lanes. Here you can bowl, drink and nibble with family and friends while watching a vast video wall of musical performances synchronised to the sound system.  The place is popular for birthday parties and corporate team-building events. Tikitiki now has its pricing scaled according to demand. Prices start in off-peak times at $99 to rent a bowling lane for an hour and only $29 for house drinks.
