At 7:00 am this morning, an unmarked police van driven by a plainclothes police officer attached to the police headquarters, crashed into the dividing wall just at the start of the dual carriageway after the roundabout. Wet weather is suspected to have contributed to the accident. Traffic was delayed going south for around 30 minutes.
The van was damaged at the front; no police were injured. The driver is helping his colleagues with their investigation.
