This year’s Charity Curry Cook-off will take place from 3:00 pm at The Boozer in Yi Chun Street. This year all proceeds will go to D’Oli Charity, who will use the money to send relief supplies to those suffering from the devastation on super-typhoon Mangkhut in the Philippines. 13 boxes are full and ready to go.
This is a rare chance to win the coveted title of Sai Kung Curry Maestro 2018 and win the esteemed Golden Karahi of Ultimate Triumph.
Contenders will prepare (beforehand) one curry dish (any type) and one accompaniment sufficient for at least 12 modest servings. Each dish is to be accompanied with a typed copy of the recipe giving details of the ingredients and method of cooking. These will all be made available to all contenders and for $150 to “spec-tasters”. Vegetarian entries are welcome.
