Man Yee Square gets its Lunar New Year Fair makeover

Preparations are well under way for the Lunar New Year celebrations in Sai Kung town centre. The Flower Fair will be open from 10:00 am to 1:00 am every day from 31 January to 4 February. 20 stalls have been sold out with goods ranging from lai see packets and paper decorations, to flowers, fruit trees and blossom.

This year there will also be a green recycling theme with special bins already in position to collect all waste producers from the sale.

The Dragon Dance team will practice on 31 January at 8:00 pm

On 31 January there will be a special attraction: at 8:00 pm at the Temple the Sai Kung Dragon Dance team will have a practice session, and spectators can take part. They will be helped by the team members. Participants should be older than 15 years, and have enough strength to carry out the dance. Younger participants can still give it a try or come and watch and learn.
