Road closures in Sai Kung for Tin Hau Festival 30 April – 29 May

The Transport Department (TD) has announced the road closures in Sai Kung town to facilitate the holding of theatrical performances for the Tin Hau Festival 2019 from 8.00 am on 30 April 2019 to 6.00pm on 29 May 2019.

1) Road Closures:

  • a) The section of Yi Chun Street between the ingress of Sai Kung Yi Chun Street Refuse Collection Point and Man Nin Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic;
  • b) The section of Nin Chun Street between Man Nin Street and Yi Chun Street will be temporarily converted from one-way southbound traffic to one-way northbound traffic; and
  • c) The section of Man Nin Street between Yi Chun Street and Nin Chun Street will be temporarily converted from one-way southbound traffic into two-way traffic.

2) Traffic Diversion:

During the period of above road closures, vehicles on Man Nin Street heading for Po Tung Road will be temporarily diverted to travel via Nin Chun Street and Man Nin Street.

3) Green Minibus (“GMB”) Termini Relocation and Route Diversion:

The termini for N.T. GMB Route Nos. 2, 3, 3A, 4 and 4A at Yi Chun Street will be temporarily relocated to Man Nin Street. At the same time, these GMB routes will be temporarily diverted to travel via Nin Chun Street and Man Nin Street after departing from Man Nin Street

4) Suspension of Taxi Stand:

The taxi stand at Yi Chun Street will be suspended.

5) Suspension of Parking Spaces – the following parking spaces will be suspended:

Metered parking spaces

  • Man Nin Street; Nos. 28081, 28082, 28083, 28084, 28085, 28086,28088 and 28089
  • All motorcycles parking spaces on Man Nin Street outside House No. 24-32Yi Chun Street
  • Nos. 28091, 28093, 28094, 28095 and 28096
  • Po Tung Road; Nos.28025 and 28027.

Also, from 8.00am to 5.00pm on 19 May 2019 all parking spaces in Po Tung Road Car Park will be suspended.

Appropriate traffic aids will be provided on site and police officers will be stationed to guide motorists.
