The most popular new restaurant in Sai Kung is Singaling, named after its founders. At 60 Po Tung Road on the former Firenze site the new watering hole and eaterie has been tastefully designed in mirrored white and black with subdued blue lighting creating a clean, fresh look. One wall features an ink mural of a Sai Kung seascape by a local artist. BUZZ reported its imminent opening some six months ago. It is now operating at full stride.
The restaurant is a creation of Sing, the longtime manager of Jasper’s who was voted best restaurateur in Sai Kung several times by the readers of Sai Kung magazine, and his partner, Ling. Savvy residents have spotted the best value drinks in town in a quality place at happy hour when you can get two for the price of one. Foodies go for the burgers and chicken wraps while vegetarians and vegans like the many dishes specially for them.
The restaurant’s main attraction is undoubtedly the landlord himself. Nobody in Sai Kung has a better customer-first, friendly, smiling attitude than Sing.
