Route 94 from Sai Kung to Wong Shek Pier is one of the routes included in the new KMB Sectional Fare Scheme
KMB announced that the second Regional Short-journey Sectional Fare Scheme would be implemented in Tsueng Kwan O/ Sai Kung from 17 July. The Scheme is comprised of 16 KMB routes. Passengers can enjoy bus services at the fares of $5.4-6 by tapping an Octopus card. Tseung Kwan O/Sai Kung is the second region to adopt the Regional Short-journey Sectional Fare Scheme after Northern–west New Territories (Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai).
The Scheme covers 16 KMB routes. Passengers of 15 routes can enjoy an intra-district ride with single fare as low as $5.4 by tapping an Octopus card on 27 Octopus card validators at bus stops after alighting. In other words, even if passengers take the long-haul routes to the urban area or New Territories, the fare will be $5.4 as long as they alight in Tseung Kwan O.
Route 94 (plying between Sai Kung and Wong Shek Pier) is also launching a new sectional fare. By tapping the card again on the onboard validator before alighting, passengers can enjoy a sectional fare of $6.0.

The Two-way Sectional Fare Scheme does not operate in conjunction with any interchange concession. Passengers who have used their relevant Octopus card for public transport transactions between getting on the buses and using the card validators at the bus stops are not eligible for the Sectional Fare Scheme.
KMB has implemented the Regional Short-journey Sectional Fare Scheme in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai since last August, which have received positive feedback for providing more transport options to passengers. Under the Two-way Sectional Fare Scheme, all passengers with a valid Octopus card (except KMB Monthly Pass), after paying the full fare when they get on the bus, may have the fare difference returned automatically when they tap the card on the Octopus card validators at designated bus stops when they alighted. KMB hopes to expand the Scheme to more districts, enabling passengers to enjoy convenient, comfortable and effective bus services.
User Instructions:
1. Pay the full fare with Octopus card when getting on the bus.
2. Enjoy the sectional fare by tapping Octopus card on the Octopus card validators after alighting.
3. Octopus card validators are installed at designated bus stops and marked in a green symbol.
