HSBC announced that from Saturday, 5 March, all retail branches will be temporarily closed on Saturday until further notice. The arrangement is in response to the ongoing changes in the current situation of the novel coronavirus in Hong Kong. While providing banking services to customers, HSBC also takes precautionary measures to protect the health and safety of staff and customers.
In addition, 11 branches will suspend services from today (23/2) until further notice due to a staff member who was confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.

The branches concerned have arranged for deep cleaning and disinfection, and the adjacent Easy Banking Centre will maintain normal services. The bank has asked relevant employees of the bank to carry out virus testing and will provide employees with appropriate assistance.
