Hong Kong Academy chops entry-level fees by $40,000

Sai Kung’s Hong Kong Academy has taken a chopper to the entry-level fee for its youngest students, dropping annual dues from $149,800 to $109,000. At the other end of the scale yearly fees for the oldest students, those about to graduate, go up from $240,300 to $247,460. This is an international school that can set youngsters up for life. Head of School Stephen Dare reported on Friday Class of 2023 graduates have been offered places at the University of Oxford, King’s College London, University of California and Hong Kong’s University of Science and Technology among dozens of other universities.

Hong Kong Academy is non-profit and the fees quoted above do not include many things such as exam fees, meals and field trips. If they have an exceptional child with an excellent scholastic record, families may apply for a scholarship.

Less well off parents may still get their kids involved with Sai Kung’s finest pre-university school. HKA invites two to three year old toddlers to playgroups if escorted by a parent, helper or guardian. Another way of accessing HKA programmes is through @homewithHKA.
