Police car hits seven-seater van at University roundabout, Sai Kung Photo: Internet
Police car accidents are not infrequent, with the driving skills of police officers often questioned, and last night (19/12) around 8:30 pm, a dark-coloured seven-seater van was driving along in the slow lane of Clear Water Bay Road, Sai Kung towards the University roundabout in Tai Po Tsai, with a police car driving alongside it on the adjacent lane.
When the van reached the roundabout the driver, presumably not paying attention, drove straight on to the roundabout, not noticing a white seven-seater van already there. Fortunately, the driver stopped at the last moment and the two cars did not collide.
However, the police car on the adjacent line also did the same but did not stop, and the driver is suspected of losing control of the vehicle in time and crashed into the rear of the white van. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
The front of the police car was damaged, and the rear of the white seven-passenger car that was hit was damaged.
Law enforcement officials are investigating the accident.
