A sad accident took place in Sai Kung yesterday afternoon (17/2). A man fell from a building on Fuk Man Road just after 3:00 pm. Police received a report from a passer-by, saying that a man was found lying on the pavement outside No. 58 and it was suspected that he had fallen from the roof of the building.
After investigation, the police believe that the deceased accidentally fell from the rooftop of the building
Emergency services arrived and confirmed that the victim had died on the spot. After preliminary investigation, the police believe that the 41-year-old male was a resident of the building involved. It is suspected that he accidentally fell from the rooftop of the building. A railing on the roadside at the scene appeared to have been crushed, and blood stains were left on the ground.

Sources from the scene said that the victim was a construction worker working locally, and during rest days he used to take his backpack to the rooftop to dry out, and watch the street view from the rooftop for entertainment. The stone wall on the rooftop was only about one metre high. It is reported that the victim did not have any debts or have any grudges with others. Therefore, it is believed that the victim accidently slipped and fell from the building.
