A burglary occurred in Sai Kung early this morning around 00:30 am. A 68-year-old male householder found evidence of looting in his flat in Hong Hay Villas, Chuk Kok Road, Sai Kung and suspected that it had been burgled. Police officers arrived at the scene after receiving the report.
After a preliminary assessment, it is believed that the total value of property stolen is about HK$810,000, including HK$30,000 in cash and a batch of jewellery. The case was classified as burglary and handed over to the fourth team of the Criminal Investigation Team of the Wong Tai Sin Police District for follow-up.
