Burns Night Supper is one of the traditional event in the RCSHK calendar
A gala dinner celebrating Commonwealth culture will be help on the rooftop of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Kellet Island, on 17 October by the Royal Commonwealth Society. For many years RCSHK was headed by Sai Kung’s Peter J. Mann, MBE, MA (Oxon) and MBuddhstud (master of Buddhist studies). Peter, author of the book “Sheriff of Wanchai”, is now vice president. A couple of years ago Peter was presented with his MBE at Buckingham Palace by the then Prince Charles.

Starting from 7:00 pm the event “celebrating the 75th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth” will feature music, dancing and entertainment from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. The cost for buffet and free-flow drinks is $2250 for guests and $1750 for members. If interested you can email secretary@rcshk.com
British and Canadian Consul Generals with RCS Council
The Royal Commonwealth Society describes itself “as a conduit between Commonwealth nationals, local residents and consulates within Hong Kong”. You can become a member for $500 a year, $750 for couples. Once a member you will receive invitations to Consul-General cocktail parties at their residences, dinners at the Harilela Mansion (Hari is patron) Zoroastrian Club and access to other private clubs.
