A burglary occurred in Sai Kung around 9:30 pm last night (3/5). Police received a report from a 44-year-old woman that her detached house on Ho Chung Road had been ransacked and she suspected that the house had been burgled.
Police officers assisted the victim in taking inventory; preliminary findings indicate that two diamond bracelets and three luxury watches—Roger Dubuis, TAG Heuer, and Fabergé—are missing, with a total value of approximately HK$630,000. Shoe prints were also found at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest the burglar climbed the drainpipe to the roof, entered the unit through an unlocked roof door, and then committed the theft in the master bedroom. Afterward, the thief escaped through the balcony door, carrying the stolen goods down the drainpipe.
Police stated that after investigation, the case has been classified as a “burglary” and has been handed over to Team 6 of the Wong Tai Sin Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No arrests have been made so far.
