At around 3:00 am today (26/7), a tree fell down the side of the road on Clear Water Bay Road in Sai Kung, near the downhill section close to Pik Uk Prison, blocking two lanes of traffic and preventing vehicles from passing. The driver called the police for help, and the fire department arrived and cut down the fallen tree.
Typhoon Noul strengthened into a severe typhoon early this morning. At 1:10 am the Hong Kong Observatory issued Gale or Storm Signal No. 9, which remained in effect until at 7:10 am. The No.3 signal was raised at 12:40 pm this afternoon with all signals forecast to be lowered by 3:20 pm.
